The NHS body responsible for buying in health services for the people of Telford and Wrekin is reminding people it’s not too late to reserve a place at this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
As part of this year’s AGM, Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is also holding its first Care with Confidence Awards on Tuesday September 8th at the town’s Holiday Inn.
The CCG, whose members plan and commission health services will recognise those who go above and beyond to deliver health services across the area.
The criteria behind the Care with Confidence awards have been driven by the national 6C’s agenda which are; Care, Courage, Compassion, Commitment, Communication and Competence.
The CCG has expanded these further to capture other aspects that warrant acknowledgement and reflect the aspirations the organisation is looking for when commissioning local services.
As well as the awards the CCG will be presenting their Annual Report and Accounts, looking back over the last 12 months and looking to the future.
Various presentations will also be held on the evening.
David Evans, Chief Executive Officer of the CCG, said: “I would urge anyone with an interest in health to attend our Annual General Meeting.
"We will be looking back at the work we have done over the last year months and looking ahead at our plans for the next 12 months, as well as having a number of guest speakers.
“We’re also looking forward to our first Care with Confidence awards which will be a great opportunity to celebrate those individuals and organisations who have gone above and beyond to improve care for those who need it,” he added.
The AGM and Awards Evening is open to the public to attend and will run from 6pm to 8.30pm in the Reynolds Suite, Holiday Inn, St Quentin Gate, Telford TF3 4EH.
