The NHS group responsible for buying services for Telford and Wrekin residents is reminding people its not too late to enter their first Care with Confidence Awards.
Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group CCG is looking for the area’s top carers and people have until July 24th to get their nomination forms in.
Local people are being asked to submit a nomination so the CCG can celebrate the area’s health heroes who have gone the extra mile in the quest for excellence.
The criteria behind the Care with Confidence awards are driven by what is known as the 6C’s: Care, Courage, Compassion, Commitment, Communication and Competence.
Dr Mike Innes, Chair of the CCG said: “The winners could be members of a voluntary group, a local hospital, or a member of the public whose positive deeds are worthy of recognition.
"We know that a lot of good work goes on in our communities and we have created these awards to acknowledge anyone who has made an extra special contribution to the care of our Telford and Wrekin residents over the last 12 months," he said.
"We’ve already received lots of nomination forms but it would be great to see some more entries coming in and I’d urge anyone who knows someone worthy of recognition to get their entries by next Friday.”
Winners will be announced when the CCG holds its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday September 8th.
