Get nominating for your shining star in healthcare

Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is calling for nominations for its third annual Care with Confidence Awards. The awards, which are held to recognise local organisations, teams and individuals who have gone above and beyond to deliver health services, take place on Tuesday 12 September people have until Monday 7 August 2017 to nominate.

Dr Jo Leahy, Chair of the CCG, said: “This will be the third year we have held these awards and every year we get more nominations and hear more fantastic stories about the work being done locally to improve healthcare for the people of Telford and their families. If you know an organisation, whether that’s an NHS body, a third sector organisation, or an individual who has gone the extra mile in delivering health services then we want to hear all about them. The awards are a truly great evening where ae are able to recognise and celebrate those who have made a real difference to healthcare services locally.”

The criteria behind the Care with Confidence awards is driven by the 6Cs of nursing - Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment – plus 12 others the CCG’s Telford and Wrekin Patient Health Round Table consider important. Entries will be judged by a panel, based on the evidence provided in the nomination form to reflect one or more of the CCG’s 18Cs. The other 12 are Consideration, Credibility, Culture, Contingency, Commissioning, Confidentiality, Comforting, Common sense, Confidence, Creative, Clarity and Co-ordination.

The Awards Evening will be held after our AGM, which starts at 6pm on Tuesday 12 September in the Reynolds Suite, Holiday Inn, St Quentin Gate, Telford TF3 4EH.

During the AGM the CCG will present its Annual Report and Accounts, take a look back over the last 12 months and a look ahead to the future.
