Dignity Day 1 February 2018

Invitation to Dignity Day 2018The Dignity in Care campaign began in November 2006, the aim was to inspire Health & Social Care Staff and local people to place dignity and compassion at the heart of care services and in their communities.  It is not necessarily a day for the ‘grand gesture’ but more about taking the time to do something, however small, for people who too often feel isolated and of little value to society.

Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group invited colleagues to join them, this year with a “Making Waves for Dignity” theme.

Staff here at Halesfield, helped us to perform a Mexican Wave which was fun to do, and Dave Evans our Chief Officer also got in on the act.  To see the CCG Team completing their Mexican Wave please click here.

During Dignity week, we had a twitter campaign using  #makingwaves and thanks to the many people who sent us their photographs or videos, some of which can be seen below: -
