Signposting Campaign Winter 2017 - January 2018

Winter 2017 to January 2018 – Signposting Campaign

Following feedback as part of the Consultation with the public on our Walk-in Centre in July 2017 the CCG, with the help of the CSU developed a plan to get key messages out to Polish leaflets displayed on shop counterpatients, carers and the general public on where they could access health services locally. Part of the development of the plan, included the CSU gathering data on those people who accessed urgent care and visited the A & E department.  This helped them to understand the demographics of patients accessing those services.

Patients, Carers and public were invited to take part in a survey which asked people what services they used, at what time and why they accessed them. A number of patients also took part in face to face focus groups to give more in-depth feedback.

A number of patients and carers were also involved in the design of posters and leaflets to be used as part of a Signposting Campaign during the winter months.  Jane and Sharon delivering leaflets to Polish shops

As the CCG are committed to making sure they reach all members of our diverse community, the leaflets were translated into Polish and subsequently into Simple Chinese.  After meeting with members of the Polish Community and getting feedback from them, the CCG visited a number of Polish food shops throughout the Borough of Telford & Wrekin and provided them with stands and leaflets that could be used by the community.
