NHS Future Fit Consultation
On 30th May 2018 the long awaited Consultation in to the NHS Future Fit Programme began.
NHS Future Fit is about improving the hospital services provided at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury and the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford to meet the needs of our communities across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.
After listening to the views of thousands of local people over the last four years, our doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff have developed a proposed new model of hospital care – for one hospital to become an Emergency Care site and the other hospital to become a Planned Care site, with a 24-hour Urgent Care Centre at both hospitals. There are two options on how we deliver this model of hospital care.
The engagement team, together with many other colleagues from the Clinical Commissioning Group, will, over the next 15 weeks, be talking to as many groups, organisations, support networks, carers, patients and the general public to encourage them to give their feedback through the NHS Future Fit Consultation Survey.
