People in Telford and Wrekin are being urged to nominate those organisations, teams and individuals who have gone above and beyond to deliver health services across the area in this year’s Care with Confidence Awards.
The body responsible for buying in health services for the patch, Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), has launched the second of its Annual Awards this week.
The CCG successfully held its first Care with Confidence Awards last September when more than 20 people and organisations were nominated.
The awards have been introduced to acknowledge the achievements of a person, a team, a service, or a project that has delivered something extra special during 2015-2016.
The criteria behind the Care with Confidence awards is driven by the 6C’s but has been expanded to include 12 other areas that the CCG’s Telford and Wrekin Patient Health Round Table felt were important. Entries will be judged by a panel, based on the evidence provided in the nomination form, which reflects one or more of the CCG’s 18Cs –these are:

As well as the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday September 13th, the CCG will also be holding its Annual General Meeting where they will be presenting their Annual Report and Accounts, looking back over the last 12 months and looking ahead to the future.
Dr Jo Leahy, Chair of the CCG said: “We are looking for those organisations, whether that’s an NHS body, a third sector organisation, or individuals who go the extra mile in delivering and improving healthcare for those who need it and their families across Telford and Wrekin.”
She added: “Last year’s awards went incredibly well, with extremely deserving winners in each category and more than 20 nominations. This year we want to make the awards even bigger and better. We know there are many out there who go and above and beyond the call of duty for the benefit of our patients but they do not always get the recognition and the praise they deserve. We want our awards to help us change that and I would urge people to nominate those they believe make a real difference to healthcare services.”
The AGM and Awards Evening will take place between 6pm and 8.30pm in the Reynolds Suite, Holiday Inn, St Quentin Gate, Telford TF3 4EH on Tuesday September 13th.
