“The threat from online radicalisation is an increasing and significant area of work for Prevent. The Prevent Tragedies website alongside our broader Prevent online radicalisation strategy has an important role to play in helping us address the challenges we face.

The site has been developed in collaboration with NCTPHQ Strategic Communications to compliment our Syria campaign activity and is designed to provide a portal for Prevent publicity and engagement materials developed for the public by police and key partners.

The Prevent Tragedies website forms part of a wider strategy to the online threat and has the ability to play a crucial role in helping us and our partners provide communities with information, help and support about radicalisation in a way that is easily accessible.

Included on the site are useful contacts, resources, tweets, latest news and questionnaires and a link to report inappropriate material.  It has the functionality to be used locally to support your regional initiatives.

The website is intentionally not branded as a police resource to encourage its use by partners as well as police. “
